The International PhD Program in Informatics Hagenberg offers the following areas of specialization, as well as complementary areas. These areas are chosen by the students together with their PhD supervisors from the following list:

Introduction

Located in the heart of the scenic Upper Austrian Muehlviertel region, the Joint International PhD Program Informatics JKU/UAS Section Hagenberg is a specialization program jointly offered by some of the premiere computer science institutes of the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria, in collaboration with the School of Informatics, Communications and Media of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.

Building on a long tradition of excellence, these academic partners offer outstanding students an attractive opportunity at participating in a close-knit research community that prides itself on a commitment to teaching, research and acquiring and managing competitively funded research projects. As a result, the program will allow students to learn from internationally renowned leaders in their respective areas of specialization, as well as be instructed in the intricacies of grant writing and the management of research projects. This unique combination will enable students to excel in research careers, both in academia and industry.
